Bergen

As the virus is still very much raging, and I was not due my second vaccine till the day after our vacation was over, I planned a road trip in my own country.

So Thursday morning we got in the car and drove to the town where I lived for 5 years, while at Uni, called Bergen. It is the second largest city in Norway.

Bergen is most known for being rainy, but it greeted us with Lovely sunshine. We checked in at our hotel, the Grand Terminus and went for a walk around town.

When we got hungry we sat down for a little bite to eat and a drink. We went to a Mexican place and had a small bite of nachos and some nice cocktails.

We stopped by a bar/cafe called BarBarista, a place I went to, as a student, to work on my thesis. We had a glass of the beer that a micro brewery had made specially for this place. We enjoyed the revisit and the beer.

After that we walked around a bit longer before heading back to the hotel to relax and get ready for some dinner. The food was lovely and we were full and content by the time we went back to the hotel for the night.

It was nice to be back, but as there was a large outbreak of Covid an a lot of new students out. We decided to stay mostly outdoors and in places with few people.

This weekend I am away with my band at a lovely spot and I will be sharing some from that after I am done with sharing this trip. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
