On his part, His Royal Highness Oba Akadiri Momoh said the Deputy Speaker was singled out for this significant title going by his profile as a resilient advocate of a united and virile Yorubaland in the context of the Nigeria nation .

He alluded to his life and all he has gone through as somebody who has succeeded in the faces of several battles. He charged the Deputy Speaker to deploy same grace to impact well on Ikareland and Yorubaland.

While responding, the visibly touched Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Sulaimon Lasun Yussuf thanked Kabiyesi, his council of chiefs; daughters and sons of Ikare, and promised Kabiyesi that he will continue in the precepts of service that has guided his philosophy in life.

The Deputy Speaker traced the relevance and significance of the title also to the cordial relationship that exists between Ilobu indigenes and Ikareland. In his words he said Ilobu ( his place of birth and homestead) and Ikare has a relationship that dates back several decades and this title is to further promote and cement the intra city bond between both towns.

He said by this title he now can veritably also claim Ikare as his hometown. He later donated toward the development of the town in support of the projects the community leaders identified for attention.

In attendance were Secretary to the Government of Ondo State Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, Otunba of Ikareland Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, former lawmaker Hon. Gani Dauda, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker, Hon Bimbo Daramola, Hon. Mayowa Samuel Akinfolarin, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, among other dignitaries.

Before adding the title of Ajagunla of Ikareland to his feather; the deputy speaker has in his kitty other significant titles of Basorun of Obagun, Agbaakin of Ilare, Ikolaba of Ilobu.

He is a professionally trained Engineer with meritorious and indelible records, also a ranking federal parliamentarian, presently Deputy Speaker House of Representatives and First deputy Speaker; ECOWAS parliament.
