UN: before the General Assembly, the DRC warns of “aggression” by Rwanda

The Democratic Republic of Congo has warned the United Nations General Assembly of the "aggression" by Rwanda, accusing them of supporting a rebellion in the eastern part of the country. The DRC presented a "white paper" documenting the "scale of the disaster" caused by Rwanda's alleged support of the M23 rebels, who still occupy territory in the province of North Kivu. The DRC claims that Rwanda aims to keep the region unstable to exploit its resources. The situation has led to numerous humanitarian, educational, and economic consequences, including displacement of 2.3 million people and destruction of schools.
