Thursday, January twelfth 6:00PM – 7:30PM Pugh Corridor Ocora A lecture by Dr. Randal Maurice Jelks “THE TIME IS NOW! MLK & DEMOCRATIC STEWARDSHIP.”

Saturday, January 14th Test in begins at 9:00AM Reitz Union Ballroom Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ‘Day of Service’. Be a part of fellow UF scholar volunteers and our partnering neighborhood members for a day of reflection and repair within the native Gainesville neighborhood. Study service alternatives in Gainesville, meet new folks, construct consciousness of various social points and communities, and expertise the neighborhood first-hand. Breakfast shall be served upon test in.

Monday January sixteenth 12:00PM – 5:00PM King Celebration Annual March and Parade. Parade Route: East College Avenue to Waldo Highway, North to Residents Discipline. Free Shuttle Bus Providers supplied by Metropolis of Gainesville from Residents Discipline to Downtown Gainesville

Tuesday, January seventeenth 6:00PM-7:30PM Institute of Black Tradition (IBC) Closing Ceremony Reception. Be a part of us as we replicate on our celebration all through the week and have our Service-Studying Journey contributors share their experiences on volunteering with the Medici venture and the way we are able to proceed Dr. King’s work in our native communities.
