AMD Donation Powers a Learning Lab for High School Students in Austin, Texas

AMD Donation – School administrators and AMD The newest AMD Learning Lab on the campus of KIPP Collegiate High School in Austin, Texas, was dedicated recently. The laboratories are intended to increase minority adolescents access to technology while also igniting their interest in STEM education.

The contribution of 25 new AMD-powered PCs serves two Career and Technical Education classrooms and promotes instruction in robotics, engineering, graphics design and animation, engineering design, and advanced computer science. Students participating in these courses through the Career and Technical Education programme also learn career skills and have the option to earn certifications and gain work experience through internships.

Students are better suited to explore and learn when they have access to powerful technology in the classroom. We are honoured to offer these systems to KIPP Austin Collegiate and eager to see what the students create with them next.”

[Since 2019, AMD Learning Labs has helped students and teachers in six communities around the world, including Santa Clara, California; Markham, Ontario; Austin, Texas; Shanghai, China; Singapore, Singapore; and Penang, Malaysia, by providing technology to improve digital literacy and teach coding, robotics, video production, game design, and graphics design. The Learning Labs are in addition to existing AMD initiatives with K-12 and higher education students.
