bar italia will release new album ‘Tracey Denim’ this Spring.

The London three-piece have released a smattering of underground projects, garnering huge word-of-mouth buzz. Matador Records have swooped to sign them, and a full length album is set to follow.

Out digitally on May 19th – the vinyl release follows on September 8th – ‘Tracey Denim’ contains 15 tracks. New single ‘punkt’ is online now – scratchy, lo-fi art-pop, it fits in that English lineage of Dan Treacy or Lawrence, the surreal word play also lining up alongside the likes of peers such as Dry Cleaning.

There’s a resolute originality to the song, however, one that points to a band operating on their own terms. Quietly shattering the rulebook, Bar Italia are delivering something very interesting indeed.

Catch bar italia on tour this May, including a sold out release show at London’s ICA on May 25th. Looking ahead, they’ve confirmed further UK shows in Autumn, including a headline at Village Underground in London on November 7th.
