“India’s Concerns Over Khalistani Terrorism in Canada and Goldy Brar’s Asylum Attempt in California”

Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, attempted to seek asylum in California, which has been revealed in India’s dossier concerning Canada-based terrorists. S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs for India, voiced extreme alarm over the proliferation of Khalistani terrorism in Canada. He emphasized the significance of preventing political factors from influencing how we respond to terrorism and extremism. Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s opposition to Canada acting as a haven for terrorists amid the continuing hostility between India and Canada brought on by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau publicly accusing India of being responsible for the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. He noted that despite India sharing information about several Khalistani terrorists based in Canada, Canada has not provided specific details in return.

Aside from the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar earlier this year, India’s dossier includes information on various individuals, such as Arshdeep Singh Dala, Goldy Brar, Snover Dhillon, Ramandeep Singh, Gurjeet Singh Cheema, Gurjinder Singh Pannu, Gurpreet Singh, Tehal Singh, Malkeet Singh Fauji, Manvir Singh Dhura, Parvkar Singh Dulai, Moninder Singh Bual, Bhagat Singh Brar, Satinder Pal Singh, Sulinder Singh, Manveer Singh, Lakhvir Singh (also known as Landa), Sukhdul Singh, Harpreet Singh, Sundeep Singh, and Mandeep Singh Dhaliwal.

According to the dossier, Goldy Brar arrived in Canada on August 15, 2017. He is reportedly an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He is believed to have orchestrated the assassination of a Youth Congress district president in Faridkot, seeking revenge for his cousin’s murder. Goldy Brar is currently evading detection using encrypted communication applications and has fled from Canada to the United States. Intelligence suggests that he is in the process of establishing a new hideout in California. The dossier reveals that he has initiated legal proceedings to seek asylum in California and sought legal experts’ advice for this purpose.

The dossier also highlights Lakhbir Landa as a close associate of Pakistan-based Harwinder Singh. It details his criminal activities, including taking responsibility for the murder of Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri in Amritsar in November 2022 through a Facebook post. Landa’s centre warned that this was just the beginning and that those who feel secure should be prepared for their turn.

Satinder Pal Singh, a 66-year-old closely associated with the late Hardeep Singh Nijjar, is a resident of Vancouver. He initially moved to Canada in 1974, returning to India in 1979. During Operation Blue Star, he returned to Canada and advocated for Khalistan within Canadian Gurdwaras. In 1986, he was nominated as a member of the panthic committee by Dr Sohan Singh. Singh frequently visits Pakistan and maintains contact with Sikh militant leaders based there.
