Takeoff, whose real name is Krishna Khari Ball, is no longer alive among us.

He was fatally killed at the age of 28. The tragic incident took place on November 1, 2022, at roughly 2:30 a.m. at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston over a game of dice.

Takeoff was gunshot when he had reportedly been playing dice with his uncle and Migos bandmate, Quavo. As a result, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Similarly, the two other people on the premises were shot and taken to hospital while Quavo was unharmed.

In connection with the shooting, Police arrested two people Patrick Clark, 33, and Cameron Joshua. Patrick was charged with murder while Cameron was arrested on a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.

It’s been over eight months since the rapper passed away and his mother, Titania Davenport has been seeking justice for her son’s death.

Who are Takeoff’s parents?

Kirshnik Khari Ball, famous for his stage name Takeoff, was born on 18th June 1994 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, US. His parents are Kenneth Ball (father) and Titani Davenport (mother).

The rapper is the eldest of five siblings raised by a single mother as Kenneth abandon the family when he was young. According to Kenneth’s Facebook page, he was born in October 1970.

Last year, he celebrated his 52nd birthday on Facebook, wishing himself,

“Thank you Lord for another birthday. Happy birthday to me. 52 looking real good over here if I must say so myself,”

Similarly, he has been working as a Welder/Fabricator since 2022.

His mother, Titani used to work as a hairstylist.

Kenneth Ball remembered his son referring to Takeoff as his first love

Following Takeoff’s death, Kenneth took to Facebook to express his grief to his beloved son while pleading for his followers to keep his family and Davenport in their prayers.

He wrote,

“[…] My first love out of my five kids this is so so hard please keep Titania Davenport (Treet) and me (Kenneth M Ball ) and the entire family on both sides in your prayers doing our difficult time No one know the pain I’m feeling right now BUT with GOD I will find peace (sic).”

He later requests the public to spread awareness against drug use and gun violence, remarking,

“We as a community must use this time to get closer to God and to work together,”

Titania Davenport sued Houston Bowling where Takeoff died

Titania has filed a lawsuit against the owner of the Bowling Alley venue for failing to provide enough security on the night her son died.

According to a report obtained by Roling Stone, the rapper’s mother filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the proprietors of the Houston venue at Harris County District in Texas.

She is seeking over $1 million from the bowling alley in damages that include funeral expenses, as well as lost earning capacity and emotional suffering.

Takeoff, Offset, and Quavo were actually relatives

Besides being a member of the iconic musical group Migos, Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff were also relatives. In relation, Takeoff was Quavo‘s uncle while Offset is Quavo’s cousin.

Quavo and the late Takeoff were childhood friends who grew up together in the Atlanta area while Offset joined them later in their teenage years.

Quavo recalled his childhood memory in an interview with Fader, he said,

“His [Takeoff] momma took care of everything, and us. We always stayed in the same house. We share everything. He’s basically like a brother.”

The parents of the three appear to have been close as well. While pursuing a music career, Quavo’s mother Edna Marshall supports them a lot as the 32-year-old rapper told Rolling Stone.

“She [Edna] had a house full of niggas playing games, shoes off, eating all the food, and it’s hard times – but she never complained,”

Edna raised the three of them in the same small house in the northern suburbs of Atlanta.
