Today, the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh Police shall continue to explore further the potential links between Seema and the ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) as well as the Pakistani Army.

On Monday, Seema Haider, her lover Sachin Meena, and his father, Netrapal Singh Meena, were interrogated by the ATS for approximately six hours. Seema, a Pakistani mom of 4, who unlawfully entered India in May, currently resides with her Indian partner Sachin Meena in Greater Noida.

A close eye is being kept on her moves by the ATS and Intelligence Bureau (IB) due to speculations about her affiliations with the Pakistan Army and the country’s intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Also, Seema Haider’s previously deleted mobile data will undergo analysis at the forensic laboratory. Her mobile data holds the potential to reveal significant information on sensitive subjects, given her uncle and brother’s associations with the Pakistan Army.

The ongoing investigations relating to Seema’s arrival in India without the proper visa documentation continue to unfold.

Furthermore, her passport, Aadhar card, and documents concerning her children will undergo examination. Likely, the police will also question Sachin Meena today.

Previously, on Sunday, the UP ATS arrested a suspected agent of the ISI in Lucknow on charges of providing vital information about defence establishments to handlers in the neighbouring country.

Seema’s questioning coincides with a threat from an obscure right-wing fringe group in Greater Noida, claiming they will protest if Haider is not deported from the country within 72 hours.

A senior police officer confirmed to PTI that Seema, Sachin, and Netrapal Singh were interrogated by the ATS on Monday, with no involvement from local police.

Seema, aged 30, entered India with her four children on a bus from Nepal in May, seeking to live with her 22-year-old partner Sachin in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The couple initially connected through the online game PUBG in 2019.

Seema was arrested on July 4 by local police for illegal entry into India, while Sachin was apprehended for harbouring illegal immigrants. However, they both received bail from a local court on July 7 and have since been residing together with Seema’s four children in a house in the Rabupura area.

In her interactions with the media, Seema expressed her desire to remain in India with Sachin, stating her unwillingness to return to Pakistan. She also claimed to have converted to Hinduism.

Meanwhile, Seema’s family and neighbours in Pakistan informed PTI that they do not wish for her to return.
