She recently returned to India after attending the world premiere of her upcoming film along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The Highway actress has now reached Kolkata to woo her fans for Gangubai Kathiawadi.
On Monday, February 21, the actress turned to social media to flaunt her saree collection once more in a slew of mesmerising photos, leaving the fashion police speechless.
Since the beginning of her Gangubai Kathiawadi promotion schedule, Alia Bhatt has been setting perfect examples that ‘white can never be basic.’ Alia can now be seen shining in a lovely white organza saree in a new series of pictures. The star chose bold jhumkas to give a creative touch to her outfit, and her hair was tied back in a neat bun to finish off her traditional look. Alia captioned the new pictures with a white heart emoticon after referring to Kolkata as her “jaan.”

Regarding her film Gangubai Kathiawadi, fans have been eager to know what cinematic magic she has in store for them this time since the news of her collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali surfaced. The plot of the film is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Ganga Harjivandas, and it focuses on the life of a simple girl who is forced to join the gangster lifestyle in order to define her own territory as a madame in Kamathipura’s red light area. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on February 25, 2022. Apart from this, Alia is working on Brahmastra, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, RRR, and Darlings.
