At least 11 people are feared dead after a 14-seater veered off the rolled before rolling several time in Mwingi on Saturday.
At the time of the accident, the PSV Matatu had 20 passengers on board and they had just come from a dowry payment ceremony as confirmed by a local administrator.

According to Assistant Chief Jacob Mueti of Kanyonyoo sub-location, the PSV matatu attempted to overtake another vehicle before it veered off the road and rolled several time killing the eleven.
Those who sustained injuries were rushed to Kitui Level IV Hospital while the dead were also taken to the same hospital’s mortuary pending autopsy.
Other patients required specialized treatment and were taken to Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi as others were rushed to Matuu Level IV Hospital.
