Finally! The much awaited movie of Vidya Balan Kahaani 2 has begun hinting the fans around. Just like the previous installment the story is full of suspense and the teaser which is out today confirms the same. Vidya Balan reunites with the director Sujoy Ghosh for the film. This time the name of the actress has been changed to Durga Rani Singh from Vidya Bagchi.

Very few know that the name Durga Rani was supposed to be the next title of Sujoy Ghosh however that got scrapped but name is borrowed for Kahaani 2.

Sujoy Ghosh in an interview revealed-

Durga Rani Singh… It’s a really cool name so we thought of naming Vidya’s character that in ‘Kahaani 2’ but it has nothing to do with the story of the earlier film. Obviously, it is buried now since we have used the name in this film.”

Vidya Balan to Play the role of a Fugitive

The release date of the film was scheduled for 25th November 2016 but Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film Dear Zindagi with Alia Bhatt has the same release date so director postponed the Kahaani 2 release on 2 December, 2016.

The teaser of the poster showcases and escapee Durga Rani Singh which is wanted by cops for murder and kidnapping cases. B-town actor Arjun Rampal portrays the character of cop who is chasing after Vidya Balan.
