In a sudden turn of events, Anu Malik was admitted to the hospital earlier last week, to undergo a surgery for acute pancreatitis. However, the compose-singer is yet to recover. He is currently in the ICU as his daughter Anmol Malik confirmed, “My dad was hospitalised in the Lilavati hospital on Tuesday and he underwent a surgery for acute pancreatitis on Friday. He was in lot of pain and he in ICU, under observation right now. There is nothing to worry…he is recovering and we are hoping he will get discharged by Thursday.”

However, Anu’s daughter assures he has been visited by some of his close friends and colleagues from the industry, “I am extremely thankful to the people around who have been concerned about his health. Asha Bhosle, Mahesh Bhatt and many people from the industry came to visit him and have been praying for his speedy recovery.”

For all that we know, Anu is popular for judging Indian Idol and has made his recognition with songs like Garam Chai Ki Pyaali, unchi hai building among other hits. Malik made his debut as a composer in 1977.
