I’m enjoying life, I don’t miss football – Eden Hazard

At the 2023 Ballon d’Or award ceremony, Eden Hazard, the former Real Madrid and Chelsea midfielder, made a revelation about his retirement at the age of 32.

Presenting the Kopa Trophy to Jude Bellingham, Hazard responded unexpectedly when asked about his retirement by the host, Didier Drogba.

“I’m enjoying life, family and the kids,” Hazard said.

“I can do what I want. It’s a perfect life. At the moment I don’t miss playing football. Let’s see in a few months. My kids asked me to come to the Ballon d’Or so I said, ‘Okay, let’s go and spend the night in Paris.’”

Having officially retired from football in October, just months after leaving Real Madrid at the end of his contract, Hazard stated that he does not miss the sport.
