Sharing my favorite images from the early days of photography… Title: Canal St. Martin Date: 1860 Location: France Photographer: Franck (1816–1906) Process: albumen silver print from glass negative French photographer François Marie Louis Alexandre Gobinet de Villecholes, a.k.a. Franck, was active in Spain and France. A daguerreotypist mostly remembered for his portraits, he also produced a number of landscape, architectural and stereoscopic photographs.
