Sharing my favorite images from the early days of photography… Title: Boulogne Fisherman Date: ca. 1897 Location: France Photographer: Paul Martin (1864-1944) Process: gelatin silver print French-born British photographer Paul Martin was a pioneer of street and night photography. He focused on the working class. His London by Gaslight series influenced Alfred Steiglitz. Later in his life, Martin also documented historic events.
