#DeepVeerKiShaadi: From the mundavalya to the shagun ki thaali - here's decoding details of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's konkani wedding

Well, well, well...the pictures are here and we are tripping over them already. But don't blame us. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone look absolutely adorable and way too much in love in both the pics that they have shared from the ceremonies that took place at Lake Como in Italy over today and yesterday. Surrounded by their near and dear ones, the couple seems joyous at what is clearly the culmination of a dreamy romance. And after we were done 'ooh'ing and 'aah'ing over the pictures, we paid close attention to them. There were a lot of details in both the pictures which you might have missed while gawking at just how adorable the two look together. So, we have done the snooping for you and here's what we found.

Here's the picture we are talking about...

Like we had told you, both Ranveer and Deepika are dressed in Sabyasachi from head-to-toe. And just how gorgeous are they looking! If we didn't have to type it out for you, we would still be poring over the pictures. But while we are here, let us elaborate a bit more for you. Deepika wore a beautiful rust orange weaved with golden thread weave saree with a traditional border. The jewellery that she opted for this ceremony was chunkier and looked stunning on her. We can only see one ring on her finger here, but that too is such a statement piece.

Ranveer, on the other hand, went with almost no jewellery for this ceremony, only sporting his engagement ring. The mundavalya hence looked a perfect addition to his look, which comprised of a white kurta and a dhoti with a golden border. Also don't miss the choker-like necklace that he is holding, all set to put it around Deepika's neck. The kundan-work necklace looks breathtaking even in the little glimpse that we are catching of it.

We also like how the two kept their make-up really subtle. It lends a really authentic quality to the pictures, doesn't it?

Next is the shagun ki thaali that Deepika is holding. As is the case in most Hindu weddings, the bride is handed a platter full of items that signify her transformation into a married woman. So there's a red saree - red being an auspicious colour for married women - haldi, kumkum and akshat - which are again considered auspicious for a married lady. Apart from this, the platter also had flowers that have played an important role in Ranveer-Deepika's wedding - roses. We have already told you how Ranveer has always been showering Deepika with roses wherever they go. The platter featured two pretty white roses. Also there was an ittar infused rosewater to mark a fragrant beginning for the couple. Also the bride's mundavalya is kept on the thaali. We wonder if Deepika wore it later. If yes, we want the pics!

Now coming to the garlands that the couple exchanged. The malas were rather simple, and made using blood red carnations, which looked really good against their subtle outfits.

Talking about the people around her, everyone seems to have adhered to the theme of the wedding, wearing ivory and gold outfits.

But more than anything else, we can't stop gushing about just happy do the two look. Everything else is just a pretty accessory to their much obvious love story. We wish the couple a very happy married life.
