The wait is finally over. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania trailer is out and it definitely looks like a joyride. Just like the prequel, this one too ensures a lot of sassy comedy between Alia and Varun, not to forget some classic Bollywood drama which soon leads to ‘happily ever after’. The film’s trailer was released today and the event was just as grand as Dharma Production likes it to be. The stars arrived at the venue on a bike. Yep, that’s right. You might be going back in time now as even during the song launch of Jaaneman Aah of Dishoom, Varun and Parineeti Chopra had opted for an ATV over the usual car. Anyway, so the duo arrived for the launch looking really gorgeous. Producer Karan Johar and director Shashank Khaitaan were also present at the launch. The event had fans as well, who literally had the time of their life as they saw their favourite stars in person. After the trailer launch, a lot of cute anecdotes were shared between everyone on the stage.

We, however, were lovin’ the crackling chemistry that Varun and Alia shared even offscreen. They made their debut in Student of the Year and even then, theirs was a jodi everybody loved. Soon we saw them share screen space once again in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Unlike SOTY, the prequel of Badri had both the actors in a more spunkier role. There again, their pairing and the fact that they complimented each other so very well, was the highlight. As we checked out the trailer of Badrinath, we weren’t really surprised because by now we know pretty well that every time Alia and Varun come together on big screen, they make sure to look their best. You’d never be disappointed by the rapport they share on and off screen. That’s exactly what even we noticed at the trailer launch of their upcoming film. Looking at these two makes us go, ‘awww’ –

So you see, it’s always a delight to see Varun and Alia reunite onscreen and offscreen. We noticed in the trailer that there is a lot of references of the 90s music and Badri’s way of speaking is definitely hilarious. The trailer promises a lot of comedy, romance and yes, a little bit of drama too. It is an apt Bollywood film, after all. All we gotta wait for now is to see whether the filmmaker has managed to balance out the important elements of the film, i.e. comedy, romance and drama. The film is slated to release on March 10, 2017. Let’s hope we get to enjoy this desi chemistry shared by the two stars. Did you watch the trailer though? You can check it out below.
