Lengteng ST Mizoram Assembly Election 2023: Lengteng is one of the 40 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Mizoram. According to the Election Commission’s (EC) schedule of events, the elections will be held on November 7. Meanwhile, the counting of votes will be on December 3. Speaking of the schedule of Mizoram, the Election Commission has announced that the scrutiny of the candidates’ nominations will take place on October 20, and candidates will have the option to withdraw their candidature by October 23.
The term of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly is set to conclude on December 17, 2023. Presently, the state is under the governance of the Mizo National Front (MNF). In the 2018 elections for the 40-seat Mizoram Assembly, the MNF secured a majority with 26 seats and a vote share of 37.8 per cent. The Congress party won 5 seats, while the BJP secured a single seat. The incumbent Chief Minister of the state is Zoramthanga.

In the 2018 elections, L.thangmawia, representing the Mizo National Front(MNF), secured victory by defeating H.rohluna, an INC candidate, with a margin of 1,772 votes.
