Mahasamund Constituency, Chhattisgarh Assembly Election 2023: Mahasamund is one of the 90 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Chhattisgarh. According to the Election Commission’s (EC) schedule of events, the first phase of polling for 20 seats in Chhattisgarh will be held on November 7, with the remaining 70 seats in Chhattisgarh going to polls on November 17. The counting of votes will be on December 3.
Chhattisgarh Assembly Election Result(2018)
In 2018, Vinod Sevan Lal Chandrakar of the Indian National Congress won the seat by defeating Poonam Chandrakar of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) with a margin of 23,066 votes. In 2013, Dr. Vimal Chopra of the Independent Party won the seat by defeating Agni Chandrakar of the INC.

The total electorate for the Mahasamund constituency includes 1,92,098 eligible voters, out of which 94,494 are male voters and 97,596 are female voters. Mahasamund recorded a voter turnout of 80.53% in the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections. In 2013 the turnout was 81.33%, and in 2008 it was 75.17%.
