Far-left “Squad” member Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib pointed the blame on Israel for Tuesday’s bombing of a Gaza City Hospital that left hundreds dead — demanding President Biden call for a cease-fire ahead of his visit to the Middle East.

“Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific,” Omar (D-Minn.) wrote on X.

“@POTUS needs to push for an immediate ceasefire to end this slaughter.”

Tlaib (D-Mich.) also fingered the Israel Defense Force as the culprit behind the explosion at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital that Gaza officials said more than 500 people dead — but took Omar’s sentiment one step further.

Tlaib accused the 80-year-old commander in chief of playing a role in the carnage by not stepping in to quell the conflict between Israel and Hamas after the terrorist group launched its surprise attack on Oct. 7, killing more than 1,300 people in Israel.

“Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that,” Tlaib, the first Palestinian American elected to Congress, said in a statement.

“@POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate. Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.”

Biden has said he’s “outraged and deeply saddened” by the deadly bombing, but he refused to say who he believes was responsible.

Israel has denied Hamas’ claims it was behind the explosion at the hospital, which was housing thousands of displaced Palestinians who did not evacuate under the IDF’s orders.

Israeli officials instead claimed Hamas was behind the strike after launching a faulty rocket and later shared a video on Instagram allegedly showing the rocket misfiring moments before the hospital was hit.

In the wake of the tragedy — which marks the deadliest single incident since the war broke out — “Squad” member Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) reinvigorated her pleas for other members of Congress to join the “Ceasefire Now Resolution.”

Bush introduced the legislation Monday, demanding the Biden administration “immediately call for and facilitate deescalation [sic] and a cease-fire to urgently end the current violence” and “promptly send and facilitate the entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza.”

“500 doctors, patients, and civilians killed after a hospital in Gaza was bombed. We must not look away from this violence. We must prevent further loss of life,” Bush said Tuesday.

The hospital bombing came just hours before Biden was expected to depart for his trip to Israel, where he will visit Tel Aviv Wednesday to affirm US support for Israel in its fight against Hamas.

Now 11 days into Israel’s counterattack, health officials say at least 3,000 Palestinians have been killed.

Israeli officials have vowed to destroy Hamas in an expected ground invasion of Gaza, with IDF soldiers also looking to rescue the more than 150 taken hostage by Hamas.
