Athidhi Ending Explained: Starring Venu Thottempudi, Avanthika Mishra, Aditi Gautam, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Ravi Varma, Bhadram, Chanakya Teja, Gayatri Chaganti, Pooja and others, the series is written and directed by Bharath Y G and produced by Praveen Sattaru. The series has 6 episodes, each with a runtime of 30 minutes.

Athidhi Plot

When a mysterious guest appears at his doorstep one rainy night, Ravi Verma is taken aback by her beauty. However, this is no ordinary guest, and as the night goes on, horrific events start to unfold that Ravi is unable to write off. Unfortunately, the situation isn’t as easy as it seems, with the hunted becoming the hunter and ghostly things coming out from behind closed doors.

Athidhi Ending Explained

Who is Maya, and why did she come to Ravi’s house?

Maya and her partner Prakash are thieves who rob people, and they learn of Ravi’s wealth and lonesome status from a local tea shack. They had previously made up the plan of making Maya a ghost after hearing a local legend and sending her to the house to get Ravi to pay them the money. However, they surprisingly find Savari there as well. Maya plays her part well, with Prakash coming to the house soon after she “dies”. However, their plan falls short when they realise that Ravi isn’t a naive man who doesn’t know how to protect himself and his family.

In fact, he is the ghost of a king who was wronged centuries ago and was left in the world to show humans their cardinal sins and hopefully change their lives. Unfortunately, even after giving them a chance, Maya and Prakash refuse to give up on their greed and are eventually trapped by Ravi, who calls himself the messenger of the gods.

Who is Savari?

Savari is a YouTuber who wishes to capture ghost encounters but doesn’t believe in ghosts himself. However, this time, while following a local ghost story, he ends up at Ravi’s doorstep on a stormy night and gets embroiled in a complicated robbery that goes awry.

Why did Ravi let Savari go?

Savari, in spite of being embroiled in this mess, is a kind and good-natured person without any innate bad qualities. Although he is hung up on his ex, Ravi lets him go home because he realises that Savari isn’t a bad person and hasn’t committed any sins. He believes that the world needs more people like him, and thus, he shouldn’t be held in the mansion.

Athidhi Episode 6 Ending Explained

In the last episode, Prakash, Maya and Savari learn that Ravi’s wife is not only dead but has been for some time. They find an old painting in one of the rooms which looks exactly like him, and the three realise that this isn’t Ravi’s ancestor; it’s Ravi himself. Scared out of their minds, they try to get out but are unable to do so, thanks to the vengeful spirit. In a twist of fate, the tea seller also makes an appearance, drunk and hoping to rob the mansion.

Fortunately for them, Ravi tells them his story – how, in spite of being a just king, he was backstabbed by his trusted ones and murdered, along with his wife, for money and power. He was, thus, left in the mansion to get revenge for anyone and everyone who commits sins and is god’s representative in a way. However, he does let the three of them go on the condition that they never commit these sins again.

Although the three of them promise to become better, Maya and Prakash can’t let go of the money that they were previously offered and, in spite of Savari’s warnings, go back to the mansion to retrieve the bag. Unfortunately, they realise that the bag is only filled with junk and doesn’t have any money. Realising that they are now trapped, the two of them are trapped in a mirror, much like other sinners, and Ravi uses their stories to write a book so that other human beings can read what happens to those who do the wrong thing.

Savari, on the other hand, goes home looking rather traumatised by the events of the night and mentions to the person giving him a lift that ghosts do exist.
