The moment Get Organized with The Home Edit season 2 starts, you know it’s going to be a high-octane and chaotic show. Obviously, it’s chaotic because Joanna and Clea are the ones sorting out the chaos in their clients’ lives but even without that, the series is extremely high energy. It’s a good thing in a way. If you’re someone who wants ideas on organizing your space with the added push from these ladies who always seem to be go-go-go, then this is the show for you.
To be very honest, Get Organized with The Home Edit season 2 adds to the excitement and aesthetic of the last season. It’s a pleasure to watch for those who want a break from the shameful reality TV shows that we get (ahem, Byron Baes, ahem) and the extremely boring ones. Netflix has it all, but Get Organized is such a satisfying watch that it becomes difficult to stop.
The women follow a satisfying system and break down the organisation process into steps that are quite relatable and easy to follow. These are tips that even the common people out there can follow according to their budgets. It’s nothing out of the world, but it’s helpful enough so that your home doesn’t seem like it’s bursting from the weight of the stuff that it contains. Honestly, the part where they get boxes to put everything in is so relatable to me personally. I love having baskets for particular things and they are truly so helpful for organisation. In the end, it’s the satisfaction that comes with having a semblance of space.
The satisfaction doesn’t just come from creating the space, it especially comes from watching the finished product. It will inspire you to clean and organise your life right now, and if nothing else, it’ll definitely put a smile on your face. Apart from the clients that the women meet, we also watch them navigating their lives as working women. It’s difficult and overwhelming but also satisfying and inspirational.
Get Organized with The Home Edit season 2 has a smattering of everything. There’re pantries, home offices as well as kids’ rooms along with a whole host of other things. So, no, it’s not super monotonous, you’re not constantly watching food being put into bins or kids’ toys being put away. There’s a healthy dose of different things so that you get an idea to do it all, whatever your flavour of the day may be.

I guess one of the few issues I have with the show is how overexcited people are with their reactions to their redone and Organised spaces. I mean, I get it. When you come back to your dumpster fire kitchen organised in accordance with the colours of the rainbow, it’s exciting. But, dear god the screaming gets on your nerves after a while. There’s a section where Drew Barrymore says that her natural reaction on seeing her organised space wouldn’t be to scream and to become giddy… and she then does exactly that. It’s just so over-the-top that it looks fake and made up.
You want to see their genuine reactions, truly. But when people behave like this, it becomes difficult to trust them. Would you be screaming hoarse because your kitchen is organised by professionals? You’d be super excited and shocked. But screaming like a banshee on national TV feels unbelievable.
