Smoke And Mirrors is the new release from Hyde Out. Hailing from London, UK, Hyde Out is an Indie rock band who have been working together since 2014. Since the 1990s, the two main members of the group, Omar Merlo and Jaka Levstek have been performing and working in a variety of musical genres. This diverse musical influence is evident throughout Hyde Out’s music. Hyde Out is a perfect mixture of everything from 90’s British pop-rock to 70’s folk to 80’s electro-pop. 

November 2020 saw the band work on their new album, Smoke And Mirrors. This album is the perfect look into the diverse and blended musical influences of the band. 

The opening track, Alive has been one of the most successful pieces from the new album, helping the band to gain even further traction on the online music scene. With a beautifully composed acoustic guitar section that opens the song alongside the haunting lyrics and vocals, Alive is certainly a track that many would find a great listening companion. 

The same-titled track, Smoke And Mirrors is a significant track on the album for showing the band’s heavier side, both in terms of lyrics and musicality. Displaying the band’s rock influence, Smoke And Mirrors would be a great song to start with should this be your first introduction to Hyde Out.
