The Mount Hotel is a wedding venue that we’ve not worked at before but, despite being close to the city of Wolverhampton it really could be anywhere when you turn into the car park. It’s a beautiful old Victorian manor which has been carefully and considerately converted into a beautiful wedding venue.

The room which is used for wedding ceremonies is a stunningly grand hall with a beautiful balcony which is used to welcome the bride and groom into the room for the reception.

We arrived nice and early on the morning to capture Samantha’s bridal preparation photographs as well as to get some detail shots of the beautiful venue, these always make nice additions to the album. Samantha was amazingly calm and beaming from ear to ear the whole time and we even had some competition in the form of the bridesmaids who were armed with mobile phone cameras. When we joined Stuart the groom we found that the page boy even had an SLR he was taking pictures with all day (we need to watch out for the competition!)

The ceremony went beautifully and the whole day had a great relaxed feel to it, helped along by the staff at The Mount Hotel and the master of ceremonies.

This was one of the few weddings where i’ve not worked with Lauren to capture the day and instead called in the help of Tanya who is a great wedding photographer and worked as a second shooter for me, capturing another angle of the important moments of the day like the ceremony and first dance to further enhance the selection of wedding photographs for the bride and groom.
