Thanksgiving Oreo Turkeys Cookies

Thanksgiving Oreo Turkeys are a fun cookie treat that kids (and the kid in all of us) love. These cute Thanksgiving Oreo turkey cookies are so easy to make that the kids can help!

One of the things I love to do when hosting for the holidays is to create fun little items that add a nice festive touch to the event.

But if you know me, you know that I’m not talking about anything complicated! It has to be super easy but powerful!

Maybe it’s something like setting up crafts like this Paper Plate Pilgrim Craft.

AND they’re a no-bake dessert!

Aren’t these Oreo Turkey Cookies cute?

Ingredients Needed For Oreo Turkeys

I love food treats that are a snap to make, and these Oreo turkey cookies fit the bill! And they’re GREAT for using up leftover Halloween candy corn!

  • Oreo Cookies
  • Candy Corn
  • Candy Eyes
  • Frosting
  • Pretzel Sticks

How To Make Oreo Turkeys

These Oreo turkey cookies are so easy to make that the kids can even help get the job done while you’re guests are on the way over. Just be aware that the kids MIGHT eat as they work, so have extras on hand 😂

  1. Take an Oreo and carefully separate it.
  2. Stick candy corns using the frosting as a glue onto the cookie to create Turkey feathers.
  3. Cut a pretzel stick in half and stick them on the bottom of the cookie to create legs.
  4. Stick the cookie back together. You might need to add a dot of frosting if the cookie has low frosting of its own to get the cookies to stick.
  5. Place two candy eyes on the Oreo using frosting as glue.
  6. Using frosting as glue, stick a candy corn on the Oreo as a nose.
  7. Serve & enjoy!

Oreo Turkeys Variations To Try

There are several different ways you can make these cute Oreo turkey cookies! Here are a few ideas to add variety:

  • Use chocolate Oreos instead of golden ones
  • Add small pretzel sticks to the bottom of the cookie for legs
  • Use a whole candy corn for the entire beak and wattle area instead of making a separate beak and wattle.
  • Try a peanut butter chip for the beak/wattle.
  • If you can’t find candy eyes, you can use white chocolate chips.

Recipe Tips

Once these cookies are done, you can store them at room temperature in an air-tight container or bag. As long as they are stored correctly, these cookies will last for 2-3 weeks.

Use these cookies for class parties, Thanksgiving dinner, or party goody bags. Easy no-bake treats like this are KEY for the holidays!

Gobble! Gobble! I hope you love these Oreo Turkeys as much as we do! It’s become one of our newest holiday traditions!
