REDISCOVERING YOU – Live in the Moment – Step 2

Welcome to Red Shoe TV.

One of the most exciting parts of Life 2.0 is rediscovering who YOU are.

Which (if you’re like most of us) has gotten lost inside all the responsibilities and roles you’ve assumed over the last 25+ years

Last week in Step 1 we focused on breaking entrenched routines and expanding beyond the comfort zones we all sit in by bringing NEW into our lives.

Keep doing one NEW thing every day.

STEP TWO is Live in the Moment

A lot of us haven’t Spent much time living in the moment. Not with endless lists of to do’s, deadlines and responsibilities. Of course, our minds like to ‘trouble shoot’ and find possible solutions to problems that haven’t happened yet or go back to the past and chew on things that are done and we cant do anything about.

Unfortunately this keeps us from living in the moment.

That’s a shame because living in the moment rewards us with our greatest insights—our greatest A-ha’s.  It’s where we want to be to rediscover our awesome, fearless selves.

So…..How to live in the moment?

Bringing NEW into our lives is one way – it heightens all the senses and firmly anchors us in the NOW!

Another way is to get out in Nature.

Did you know that people who spend just 10 minutes in nature everyday have a 20% increase in mood, memory and creativity? Yep.

There’s lots more benefits they’re listed below.

Find times of solitude in nature because that’s when we can live in the moment and connect with our inner voice. Its amazing the clarity and the insights that can be gotten from these times.

Some of my biggest a-ha’s come when I’m walking the dog or sitting at the beach. I’m always surprised by the wisdom and knowing that seems to come from nowhere.

Would love to hear some of the surprising A-ha’s you had when you were living in nature. How did it feel to live in the moment? How was it different?

(extra) BENEFITS OF TIME SPENT IN NATURE

  • Improves short term memory
  • Restores mental energy
  • Relieves stress and anxiety and improves mood
  • Reduces inflammation studies show that people who spent time in nature had lower levels of inflammation in their bodies than people who spent time in the city.
  • Improves concentration and focus.
  • Improves cognitive function and enhances creative ability
  • Boosts immune system.

If you found this valuable please pass this along to friends.

Have Fun in Nature. See you next week for Step 3.

Your biggest fan,

Cheryl
