Period Sex Wassgood???

Period sex. Now before you pretend to shudder in disgust as if you've never considered it or tried it, let's face the fact that the MAJORITY of us have in fact tried it. That's not saying Period sex is for everyone, but it is saying it is a natural, perfectly normal thing that eventually crosses your mind the more sexually experienced you become and isn't some God forsaken act. I was one of those people who shuddered in absolute disgust and terror at the thought of letting someone see me naked while I was on my period, let alone have them feel the Blood, but then the worst thing I could have ever imagined happened:my period started while I was having sex. At first as I saw the blood smeared all over myself and the guy, I wanted to hide in a cave and never come out, but then I looked at the guy and realized he was yes, just as shocked, but he was waiting for my reaction to see how to respond. Unfortunately most men are very confused when it comes to periods and all they know is there's blood coming out of us, and blood is normally associated with being hurt, so they get freaked out. Now if someone is generally squeamish with blood then obviously period sex is not for them. But if someone doesn't get grossed out by blood in general, but for some reason has a problem with blood coming from your vagina, that's complete bullshit. It just goes along with the shaming womxn face when it comes to menstruation. NEWSFLASH PERIODS ARE TOTALLY NORMAL AND NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF. IF IT WEREN'T FOR PERIODS WE WOULD NOT BE HERE. IF YOUR PARTNER  (ESPECIALLY MEN) TRIES TO MAKE YOU FEEL DIRTY ABOUT BLEEDING, REMIND THEM THEY SPENT 9 MONTHS IN THEIR MOM'S BLOOD. So, if you're considering period sex, which I encourage everyone to at least try once, here's some things to keep in mind!
1. Period blood is actually extremely sterile.
Yep. Despite the negative connotation around menstruation blood, ikt is completely sterile. Our uteruses are clean so the blood that's in there, is clean as well.
2. Having sex and orgasming can ease cramps!
Endorphins are released during sex which ease PMS symptoms lack stress, but also can help cramps.
3. It's going to be messy, no matter how light your flow is.
Having sex speeds up the flow of blood, so even if you're bleeding light that day, a larger amount of blood than expected will come out. This part kinda sucks but an upside is the more blood that comes out means the shorter the period you are going to have.
4. You are at a higher risk to spread and/or receive STD's.
So during you period, your cervix opens up more to allow the passing of blood, which make you more vulnerable to get or pass STD's. If you have any doubt about where your partner has been make them wear a condom.
5. Yes, you can still get pregnant.
Even though it's uncommon for ovulation to take place near the time of your period, it is still possible. Sperm can live in your body for up to 7 days, so there is a slight chance it could happen.
6. For some the blood is enough lubrication, but for others they'll need more lube.
Some say the blood feels better than store bought lube. For others they'll need to buy some since a woman's estrogen level majorly decreases during her period. Which also explains why if you have sex right after your period ends and you aren't able to get as wet.
7. You can minimize the mess!
Obvi you can't control how much blood comes out but you can make the mess easier to clean.
-put a towel down under you
- have sex in the shower
- use a male or female condom
- try non vaginal sex
8. Tips on getting blood out
- soak the item in cold water
- Try putting a stain fighter, such as clorox, directly on the stain
- Back up plan, put some hydrogen peroxide on it
