Unfortunately, here in the little ol' town of Adelaide, style is pretty much non-existent. Yes, we have boutiques and Fashion bloggers, but this town has little in the way of style inspiration. It's way too easy to fall into the 'skinny jeans and a t shirt every day' trap, trust me!
Luckily, after a not-so-quick ten day stint in Melbourne for Melbourne Fashion Festival, my sense of style and motivation to not look like an absolute slob everyday has been reborn. Sadly, after ten days without wifi, my motivation to write got lost in transit somewhere along the way. But don't worry, I'm back and ready for the world of fashion again.
After hanging out at VAMFF for a week, and just being in a new city (with a nice looking bank account), I found myself participating in the fashion community again and my lacklustre 'I wear the same t-shirt and jeans combo everyday' attitude died.
The Melbourne Edit
The Melbourne Haul
1 black slip dress
1 pair of black culottes
1 pair of white Stan-Smith-esque sneakers (from Topshop of course)
1 pair of 'every day' black boots
1 pair of black jeans (I ripped a hole in the ass of my old ones before I left)
1 pair of Nobody Denim jeans (being a sample size at fashion week results in free shit)
1 grey sweater
1 $50 white t-shirt to show how trendy I am
Approximately 100 too many alcoholic beverages
Too many really bad Starbucks drinks
Although a major trend at VAMFF was colour, I continued my 'black and white or die trying' mantra. Stay tuned for more neutral-coloured fun because I am officially back.
