Where to eat, stay and wear in Noosa, QLD

To celebrate the end of my university degree, my mum and I travelled up to Noosa, Queensland for a mini vacation. For four days, we immersed ourselves into the coastal Queensland life with endless seafood, beautiful walks, Beach relaxation and of course shopping! The style in Noosa is laid back, yet incredibly chic, with many of the beach goers and general locals wearing beautiful white linens or sheer light dresses with fun bathers. I was so attracted to this chic coastal style that I had to do some shopping while I was there. I also managed to keep this up through some online shopping when I got back to Melbourne. I came across Sunday Saint-Tropez, a beautiful coastal range of dresses, playsuits and shorts. The range is made up of beautiful linen, loose silhouettes, with amazing details – tassels, eyelets and ruffles – the perfect beach outfits ready for my next trip to Noosa.

Noosa is a quintessential Aussie beach destination, much loved by families and really anyone who loves the beach. The beautiful Noosa area is filled with waterways, walking trails with incredible views of the coas. Noosa has white squeaky sand beaches and incredibly blue and green ocean water. It’s definitely one of those picturesque Aussie beach towns and it has so much to offer. There’s just so much to do in terms of activities from paddle boarding to island hopping, great restaurants and bars and so many beautiful boutiques (the buyers at these boutiques have serious game – there were so many gorgeous pieces from high end and local designers).

EAT/DRINK

Hastings St, across the road from the beach, has copious great restaurants. After every meal my brother would say, “that’s the best steak/pizza/burger/gelato I’ve ever had.” Here are some of the restaurants we visited:
  •  SeasonRestaurant is situated right next to the beach with beautiful views and great seafood. A great place to watch the sunset and have dinner.
  • LeMonde Café has a great breakfast and lunch menu. It’s a lovely causal café with great service and mist fans to cool you down in the Noosa heat.
  • Massimo’shas some seriously delicious gelato! The gelato is fluffy, creamy and the perfect way to cool down in the Queensland heat.
  • ElCapitano is a shabby chic restaurant that serves great thin-based pizza and cocktails.
  • Betty’s burger = great burgers, shakes and hand cut chips!
  • Noosa Beach House is a beautiful comfy spot to relax with a cocktail.
  • Aroma’s Noosa is a French bistro style restaurant with great service, yummy anchovy pizza and according to my brother “the best steak ever.”

STAY

Hasting St is the centre of everything at Noosa with the beach on one end, national park on the other and restaurants and shops on another end.

  • I stayed at Peppers Resort and absolutely loved it!
  • I would highly recommend Pepper, it’s set among the national park with beautiful trees and scenery surrounding the resort. The resort is large and filled amenities - two pools, entertainment areas and a great restaurant. The rooms are spacious and the staffs are so helpful, they drive the guests up and down the large resort in buggies. My family and I are already planning our return to Peppers.

SHOP
There are so many great stores on Hastings St from homewares, bathers to Aussie brands such as Seed, Witchery, Peter Alexander and Seafolly.
My fave boutiques:

  • Bowand Arrow Trading filled with so many cool designers from Aus and aboard, including Karen Walker, Alice McCall, Asilio, Cameo Collective, Finders Keepers and Sass and Bide.
  •  AlteriorMotif another great boutique with so many cool designers, including Bec & Bridge, C&M, Dion Lee, Keepsake, P.E Nation and Senso.
  • NoosaLongboards is a cool surf store filled with tote bags, hats, swimming shorts and bathers. It’s a great place to get a Noosa souvenir.
  • Toscani is filled with beautiful high-end brands. I found myself visiting the store each time we returned to our resort. It’s a great place if you’re looking to splurge in Noosa.
