FOUND: The Printed Dress of My Dreams

While printed dresses are definitely easy to find right now, finding one that makes me happy on the inside and doesn’t hurt my eyes a little….that’s more difficult.

I can’t really tell ya what makes a good print, but I do know one when I see one. It all just…works. Ya know, those prints you kind of think may cause you to have a seizure? Yeh, that’s a not-so-good print (in my opinion). There are also the floral ones that are are so flowery that you think FLOWER POWER and then want to gag…just a small amount. That’s another example of a bad print.

Prints just rarely hit that mark for me…and I am actually totally okay with that. When I randomly come across one that does speak to my innermost being and induce feelings of awe, it makes the scrolling through the notsogreat prints worth it. It’s like finding a diamond in the rough.

On that note, I recently found one of those “diamonds”, in the form of a dress. I saw it and YEP. That’s a good print, chicas…

Outfit Details

dress: Show Me Your Mumu Byron Dress (TTS, wearing size S) – The print on this dress is a fiesta for the eyes. It’s a very lightweight dress, by the way, which has been great for the hot temps down here. Also, it has these cool slits on both sides, with a layer underneath…which makes it a very flowy and cool style. I brought it for our mini vacay to Savannah and it was perfect.

sandals: Rebecca Minkoff, from last year – The updated Arella Sandal is very similar and comes in black, as well as white and almond. I love the gladiator style of sandal for everyday outfits. It brings something interesting.

sunglasses: Oversized Round Sunglasses, from last year – Found a very similar style on Amazon (free shipping, too).

backpack: Rebecca Minkoff Fringe Julian Backpack – My FAVORITE bag right now. It’s not hard to clean. I know that you’re wondering.

School starts back up next week. I am kind of sad about it, honestly. I mean, not sad enough to keep them home (ha ha), BUT this has been a good summer for us. It’s almost like I’ve been waiting for this kind of Summer for a long time, since my kids were baby babies….and now we’ve had one that makes me sigh with contentment.

Anyways, get back to school, kids!

Cheers,

Cams
