Best spots in Los Angeles

Where should I start with our U.S. Trip. It was filled with so many beautiful and exciting moments. But I think I start with my report from the beginning and write about the best spots in Los Angeles.

Finally, I can tell you about our USA trip. Actually, the post was planned earlier, but as life sometimes wants, many other things come in between. Therefore, the date of this post has moved a bit backward.

When I think about this trip and write about it, it feels like I’m still there. I’m just totally indulging in vacation mode and can not get out of the rave. But let’s start with our first stop.

The first stop was in sunny California, more specifically in Los Angeles. My absolute favorite city. At the moment my bestie and her boyfriend live in L.A., which made this stay even more beautiful and special. In these three days, we have seen many fancy places and ate in nice and really cool restaurants. That’s why I’d like to talk in my travel guide about the best places in Los Angeles.

The first day we were hiking. However, I think for all those who live in Switzerland and spend time in the mountains, it is probably rather walking than a hike. Anyway, the walk went through the beautiful Hollywood Hills. I love the nature and the area with its charming houses and gardens.

Of course, as it should be, there was a traditional photo on the Hollywood Sign with me and my bestie.

Later we passed that sweet coffee store called the “Beachwood Cafe“. The furniture and the yellow-blue floor give them this extra sweet and charming touch.

Our hike lasted the whole day, which is why we decided to have a cozy dinner at the “Belcampo“. And by the way, they serve the best vegetarian burgers.

On the second day, we went to Topanga. For those who do not know Topanga, it is located in the mountains of Santa Monica. In this place, you will find many small shops, organic restaurants with outdoor tables and hiking trails in the hills. A super delicious brunch we had in the “The Topanga Table“, where they serve pancakes, Egg Benedict, Acai Bowl (which is simply awesome) and super delicious coffee.

Eagle Rock in Topanga:

On the way back we stopped in Abbot Kinney. This street in Santa Monica is considered the coolest street in the US. A life between palm trees, surfers, design shops and cold brew coffee. There are countless cool restaurants like “The Butchers Daugther” or “TOMS“. To all these places you will find a short movie on the highlights on my Instagram page.

TOMS:

At many corners of this street, you will find beautifully painted walls, where we took some pictures.

In the evening we had dinner at “Evo Kitchen” where I ate the best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever had in my life.

Unfortunately, we did not have much time left on the last day because we had to leave in the afternoon. We took our time for an acai bowl at Whole Foods and strolled down Melrose Avenue. This avenue is very similar to the Abbot Kinney, with many cool shops, restaurants, and countless painted walls.

Amazing Acai Bowl:

Even though the journey continues to Texas, a small piece of my heart stayed in this wonderful city. And I’m sure, we’ll be back in beautiful Los Angeles soon.

The next stop is called Houston Texas. More about that, I’ll tell you in my next post.
