Contemporary Master Bedroom Tour at Park East

#thesuitelife

Hey you! Happy Friday. Boy, am I ready to crawl in bed and watch movies all weekend Haha. This is my last weekend of calm because every weekend in July I’m either out of town or have something going on. Anyways, I’ve been trying to finalize different rooms in our apartment and it’s all starting to finally get done and look the way I dreamed. The first room to finish was our Bedroom so I thought I’d share a master bedroom tour.  Since I recently graduated college and my fiancè still has another year… we wanted our space to be young and fun, yet mature because let’s be honest… we’re like old people haha.

^ these cords annoy me haha. Such a plain wall.

To start, I wanted something neutral, clutter free, and simple. I feel like there is not much “decor” in our bedroom and it’s exactly what I wanted. Before this apartment, I lived in a 4 bedroom house with all girls. It was the best. But my bedroom was cramped with all sorts of crap as well as my office. I would wake up stressed just looking at my room. When we planned for a 2 bedroom apartment having a separate “junk” space for all my clothes, makeup, bags, office crap, etc. was a need. I didn’t want Josh to have to deal with it all and I think he loves not having too either lol. He literally never comes in my office because it stresses him out haha. But, our bedroom is one place I think we both really love because it’s still got some decor I love yet it’s neutral for Josh. The only thing I really want to add is just like a little plant (preferably a fiddle leaf fig) to the left of our TV since that’s such an empty space. Or maybe a chair…

I had a whole set of mirror bedroom furniture from my home with my parents so we took all of it since we wanted a gray/white bedroom. We picked up these lamps and lamp shades from At Home and I’m IN LOVE with them. I’m such a fan of mixing metals so I wanted gold accents on our bedside tables with the silver. I think it really stands out! I kept my table very clean and clutter free. (That photo is from the day I met Josh hehe!) You can probably tell which is Josh’s because his is a little manly with the TTU signs haha. I love the difference! Our bedding!!! Such a dream haha. This is what really pulled the room together. I’ve been dying for new bedding since we were using an old comforter from my old house and pink and grey pillows haha. This bedding is from CStudio Home. They have the best, most simple and fresh, options. I love the clean look of their website and really enjoyed going through and picking out the shams, quilt, and all the pieces that made up our bed. I knew I wanted to keep our bed neutral, for my sweet fiancé. I kept all the sheets and bed primarily white and did 3 taupe shams with a beige/cream colored accent pillow.

Growing up, I always just had a comforter. I wanted our bed to be hotel-like with a quilt and duvet folded at the bottom. It came together SO nicely and I get so excited to come home and see it all made haha. I mean, isn’t it dreamy!?

Whether you’re a parent or a college girl headed to your first dorm this August, their bedding is incredible! You’ll spend like 20 hours just scrolling through the site with things you want haha. Don’t forget to check out #thesuitelife for some college and post grad bedding inspo.

This frame doesn’t quite go with the theme of our room… but my parents gave it to us for Christmas last year because it’s our favorite thing to do when we are visiting them. I love it!!

Yay! Hope you loved this little contemporary master bedroom tour. Have a great weekend, talk soon! xx
