The Big Fat Bollywood Wedding – #SonamAnandWedding

Did you know the news? Yesterday, the Bollywood Diva, Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with her longtime beau Anand Ahuja. Though it was a private affair but all their wedding pics have taken the internet by storm. In twitter India, #SonamAnandWedding is trending now!

Mehendi Laga Ke Rakna…

The grand wedding event started on Sunday, May 6 with the Mehendi ceremony at Bandra’s The Sunteck, Signature Island.

The Bride to be wore a pink and pale lilac sharara suit with embellished dupatta. And the groom to be opted for a pink bandhgala kurta with cream colored  churidar.

The entire Kapoor family and the couple’s close friends were there in the event to make it a delighted one.

The Kapoor’s sisters Janvhi and Khushi spotted wearing Manish Malhotra collection.

Sonam’s cousin Shanaya was looking all pretty in a pink sharara suit.

How could we miss Rhea? She was also looking beautiful in that all white outfit.

At the Mehendi night, the Chura and Sangeet ceremony happened.

Sonam was looking ethereal in Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit. It was an ivory gold lehenga with heavily embellished backless blouse. She wore uncut diamond and pearl choker from her mom Sunita Kapoor’s collection (she also wore this at the Cannes 2014 red carpet), a mang tikka, handcuff and jhumkas to create the perfect traditional look.

Braided hair, light gloss on lip and nude make-up – Elegance overloaded!

The groom wore an ivory kurta, and a Nehru jacket by designer Raghavendra Rathore. The attraction was a diamond-and-emerald brooch pin on Anand’s jacket.

It was a star studded night and the dress code for the event was ‘shades of white’. The Bollywood celebs have left no stone unturned to heat up the tempo at Anil Kapoor’s residence. The celebrities made the classic color super chic.

It was the first Big Fat Bollywood Wedding of this year! Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja got hitched as per Sikh rituals on 8th May and the venue was Sonam’s aunt Kavita Ahuja’s bungalow Rockdale in Bandra, Mumbai.

Sonam Kapoor wore a stunning red lehenga designed by Anuradha Vakil. It’s an unconventional choice of vintage textiles over glittery sequins. The bride opted for vintage style jewelry – layered choker with a guttapusalu necklace and multi-stranded matha patti completed her look.

The bride was looking drop-dead gorgeous with the magic touch of MUA Namrata Soni. The groom was looking dapper as well in a bandhgala by Raghavendra Rathore.

The wedding pictures have gone viral already and we couldn’t stop ourselves from tagging them as the ‘most adorable couple’ of the year.

Yesterday night, The Kapoor & Ahuja family hosted a grand wedding party at The Leela, Mumbai. It was a star studded night where Bollywood has played their fashion game well.

The newly – weds set the temperature soaring with their ‘Oh So Classy’ look.The Neerja actor wore a chevron pattern lehenga by Anamika Khanna and teamed it up with grey choli and metallic dupatta. The groom dressed in a sharp sherwani.

From Bollywood veterans to next-gen actors, all were there and metallic seemed to be the theme for the night.
