ALBUMS
Beirut – No No No
This is one of my favourite albums by Beirut. It’s become one I just keep coming back to because I know I love each and every song, and it’s a strangely comforting album. No No No is definitely not their most complex, thought provoking and unique piece, but it’s light, easy to listen and bop along to, which is why I adore it so much.
Frank Ocean – Channel Orange
I need to listen to Frank Ocean more. Everyone already knows this is an absolutely beautiful album, I guess I’m a little late, but I’m working on it.
HÅN – The Children
HÅN is quickly becoming one of my favourite artists. Her song ‘The Children’ came up as a suggested track on spotify, and I immediately fell in love. At the time she also had another song released, 1986, which I also fell for, but this is her first official EP release. Though it’s short, I’ve been really enjoying it and highly suggest everyone checking this girl out, and following her for future releases.
Bat For Lashes – Two Suns
Another comfort album for me. I’m currently working on a ‘Women in Music’ post all about Natasha Khan, because she’s been one of the most influential artists in my life, and created some of my favourite albums. Two Suns is definitely my favourite of them all, and has such a special place in my heart that every time I listen to it, it continues to be magical.
