Hey guys! so this weekend was my birthday weekend and before getting into things id just like to thank everyone who messaged me to wish me a happy birthday.
for my birthday i spent the weekend attending music festivals and related events in my hometown of Toronto! the first Festival i attended was veld music festival which is just your basic music festival. the second festival i attended was OVO fest which is a yearly festival hosted by Drake, this is the one ill be talking about today!
OVO fest is an annual music festival in Toronto that is hosted and funded by Drake, if you know me then you know i love Drake and would 1000% recommend coming to Toronto for this festival! each year Drake performs as well as a variety of other artists that he invites. The lineup is always a secret which makes it so fun and exciting. This year the festival was held at the Budweiser stage, which is a great venue that looks onto the lake/city.
Fortunately this year i had the amazing opportunity to get amazing access to the festival and watch the concert from the venues “Pit” which is essentially front row.
This year Drake brought out Playboi Carti, Roy Woods, DVSN, Majid Jordan, Cardi B, Migos, The Weeknd, Baka, Rae Sremmurd, Travis scott, French Montana, and Tory Lanez (yes, the beef is no longer).
The acts were all amazing and so was the lighting and stage setup, the stage was setup like a CN tower which is Toronto’s biggest landmark, as well as the cover of Drakes album “Views”. Drake even made his grand entrance by sitting on top of the tower just like on the album cover.
The atmosphere at the show is always filled with good vibes and the place is always swarming with amazing people and cool celebs. Last night Lebron James, Marcus Stroman, and a variety of other athletes were attending as well as a number of different rappers and social media influencers.
Overall the night was amazing and i would 100% recommend anyone who lives in Toronto or is planning on coming to Toronto to attend the festival.
