MANCHESTER CITY STAR YAYA TOURE ADMITS THAT'S HIS BEST GOAL EVER

Manchester City Star Yaya Toure admitted his goal in the Capital One Cup victory over Sunderland was probably the best of his career.

Toure netted one of the best ever Wembley final goals with the crucial equaliser to cancel out Fabio Borini's opener before Samir Nasri and substitute Jesus Navas sealed the first piece of silverware of the season for City.

After a below-par first half, Ivory Coast international Toure lifted City with a memorable strike as he arrowed a brilliant 30-yard strike into the top corner past a helpless Vito Mannone to set City on their way to success.

Asked if the goal was the best he has ever scored, Toure told Sky Sports 1 HD: "I think yes. It was important as well and it was fantastic and Samir scored a fantastic goal as well and I think we played very well today and deserved to win today."

Toure admitted it was vital for City to win as they look to maintain their push for glory in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League

"It was unbelievable. We needed to win today, it was very important," added Toure.

"Sunderland made it difficult for us in the first half, but I think it's unbelievable and we deserve it.

"The final is only one game, you need to enjoy it and you need to win it and I think today we showed we are a great team and we show we can go until the end of the season."
