The Gutenberg Update: How To Deal With It?

Big News! The latest Gutenberg WordPress Editor is going to release on 6th December 2018. A day before WordCamp US 2018.

Lots of talks going on about Gutenburg editor in the Wordpress community. The WordPress version 5.0 will bring major changes to how you create content using the Gutenberg editor. With Gutenberg, everything is ‘BLOCK’. An image is a block, A paragraph is a block, A video is a block.

“What will happen to my site?”

You must be worried about this update that what is going to happen to my site?

If your site is on managed WordPress hosting or shared hosting server your hosting provider will handle the WordPress 5.0 update for you.

But, What if you are not ready for it?

Don’t worry!!! We have the solutions.

Solution 1:

If your WordPress website and them is not compatible with Gutenberg, then no need to do hurry. Just keep calm and install Classic Editor WordPress plugin.

Download it from here: WordPress repository

Or

Search for “Classic Editor” within your WordPress dashboard under “Plugins → Add New.” Then click on “Install Now” and activate the plugin.

It will make your operations smooth as before. But, Be mind that the Classic Editor will be supported until December 31, 2021.

Solution 2:

Simply disables the Gutenberg update by Disable Gutenberg WordPress Plugin.

It will disable your Gutenberg editor and replace it with Classic Editor. It is lightweight and super flexible plugin allows to lock Gutenberg, and hide extra Gutenberg options on your Dashboard.

So, It is enough for now. Follow these solutions and welcome the new WordPress era!!

Gutenberg for newbies – Don’t Panic!

With WordPress 5.0 update, you don’t require to learn a ton of things to create a WordPress website and manage it. Building and customizing blocks for Gutenberg is easy, and it will make user-friendly or user-friendly for people.
