Why you should use WordPress for your business website

Tags: wordpress

WordPress is a content management system (CMS) platform I learned to use before anything else. I learned how to use Wordpress myself (Many years ago) and therefore I know how easy it is for others to learn too. What makes WordPress even easier is that there are lots of people like me willing to provide you with easy to follow step by step instructions and tutorials about how to correctly use the content management system.

In this post, I provide you why I think that you should use WordPress to build your company website and blog

  • WordPress is FREE and easy to use.WordPress is a free and open-source website and blogging platform. It can be installed and used by anyone. There are free themes available ( although are not recommended for various reasons and not just, by me) However, there are also available as well as thousands of plugins, which come with a small fee but they are well worth it. or you can have a professional WordPress website created by a Web Designer. how ever you choose to have WordPress set-up, it is easy to use, install and to get started. With minutes you can be “Blogging, or be building your website.

  • Functionality and design options are vast:
WordPress has grown and developed into an outstanding, intuitive blogging and website platform. It has grown with the changing times, and the demands required. It’s very simple to use and looks great, and it can do anything you need it to do and probably more than you will ever need or use!. It is also easily updated to any new version of the software with just a couple of clicks. There are plenty of design options available and they can be easily changed with a new theme uploaded

  •  Security features:
Everyday someone’s website is hacked and destroyed. If you have secure, safe web hosting you are half way there, but your web hosting is not solely responsible for your WordPress security. First, you need to create a strong password and username. I recommend that you use 20 digitals in all shapes and sizes, characters and all. I also suggest you don’t use a username like “admin”.If you instal a security plugin and create a strong password and username then WordPress can be pretty secure. Cheap and freebie themes that are not recommended by WordPress.org and plugins that are not maintained should not be used. or if you do use them take care when using them, risks are likely. People can hack the code of these plugins far more easily than plugins that are regularly maintained.
  • If you are looking for a secure web hosting company I recommend using Site Ground

  • WordPress will grow with you.
You can build your WordPress website as big as you want plus you can add as many functions as you want. There is nothing that you cannot accomplish with WordPress. Small and large businesses use WordPress as their content management system (CMS)WordPress is big! You can start small and continue to grow without having to start all over again with a brand new website.

  • WordPress is Mobile responsive.
There are many WordPress themes available that are mobile responsive. Which means they “respond” to all sized devices whether been viewed on a small mobile device or a large desktop computer, or on a tablet. Your customers will be able to view your website easily and if you are wanting to log in to your WordPress dashboard from your smartphone or tablet device you can do so and it can be easily viewed too.

There are much more reasons to use WordPress for your business website including the massive community support WordPress offers. If you get stuck, you can ask the community (or me ;)) for help. WordPress tutorials are all over the internet and if you need assistance there is always help available.

I provide video tutorials in the WordPress Admin Dashboard of all of the websites I create, so again help is always available.

You can use WordPress for every type of website you can imagine. Whether you require an eCommerce website, an online portfolio website, or a member website or a membership website, what can be created is only limited by your imagination.
