HOW TO CREATE A SLIDESHOW IN WORDPRESS

With WordPress, it’s important to learn how to improve the user experience. Learning how to create a Slideshow is one of the ways of maximizing the user experience on WordPress, especially with websites with a lot of images as part of their content. Research has also shown that users connect better with a website when they are a lot of pictures.

In this post, we explain the process of creating slideshows using The Jetpack Plugin, The Fluid Responsive Slideshow plugin and The Meta Slider plugin. From research, we have discovered that these slideshows are efficient for creating slideshows and the process for each plugin.

The Jetpack plugin

With Jetpack, it is relatively easy to create a slideshow. While editing a post, click on the Add Media option; where pictures can be uploaded. On the top left side of the Add Media screen, there is the Create Gallery option which allows uploading of several pictures. After uploading the pictures, click on the Create a New Gallery option. You can also set the arrangement of the pictures while creating the gallery. From the Type drop-down list, choose Slideshow, and then update or publish the post. It should, however, be noted that Jetpack does not allow a lot of customization. It is the easiest to use the of the three options.

The Meta Slider plugin

This plugin allows more functionality and is also easy to use. From your screen, click on Meta Slider. Then click on Add Slide adding images and customizing the display options. With the Settings and Advanced Settings, you can also customize other features. After designing the slideshow, copy the short code from Usage tab and insert the short code wherever you want the slideshow to appear.

Fluid Responsive Slideshow

This plugin is the most advanced of the three plugins. The process of creating a slideshow is also very straightforward. Click on the Create New Slide option and then Add New Slide option. With this plugin, the slides are designed one after the other. The Set Image option which is the next option allows selection of images and setting the functionality of the slides. The Display Settings and Slideshow Option tabs allow customization of the slides. With Fluid Responsive Slideshow, a short code is also required.

We hope you have been able to understand how to create slideshows work with these three plugins from the basic Jetpack to the more advanced Fluid Responsive Slideshow.
