Cloud Trained Professionals in High Demand

Some years back, the Cloud did not exist, so it is quite understandable that this sector of IT cannot yet meet its demand.  According to findings by World Economic Forum, 65% of first year elementary school children will work in roles that do not exist as of today. According to a survey by Cloud industry Forum on 250 captains of industry, 55% of them think their organisations lack the right digital skill mix. While 35% of those polled, think that cloud trained professionals are especially in high demand.

What It Looks Like Now in the Industry

A poll by Microsoft confirmed the findings of the World Economic Forum. After polling 250 IT leaders, Microsoft found out that 38% were struggling to hire people with the right cloud skills. More than 3,500 UK organisations could be adversely affected due to this dearth in cloud professionals. The government of UK is paying heavily for this already. Yearly the cloud skills gap costs the UK government 65billion pounds. Therefore, it is not surprising that the UK government is painstakingly trying to bridge this gap, with a greater attention to digital education and digital economy.

However, this dearth in cloud skills is an advantage to those who have the right skill mix. Since they are in high demand, they can earn really well. A good salary doesn’t hurt anyone, right?

Solutions to This Predicament

Truly, recruiting new staff is essential for the continuous development of an organisation. However, in this case when cloud professionals are difficult to find, a different approach should be taken.
