Not to worry, you can just level up – but how long does it take? Hours? Days? Weeks? There are many different methods of leveling up in League of Legends, but which is the fastest? And once you are level 30, how do you then make sure you get to Diamond? Well, let’s take a brief look at the following:

Why Do I Need to be Level 30?

The reason is a simple one; Level 30 is the threshold required to enter ranked play – the main reason to play for many players, particularly those leveling smurf accounts.

Level 30 accounts are not just required for solo-queue but are required for ranked teams too. How Long Does it Take the Average Player to Reach Level 30?

There’s no definite answer to this question other than “a long time“. It can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months of playing, depending on the following factors:

• Number of games played per day
• Number of games won per day
• If you are playing bot games or “normals”
• If you are using EXP boosts

For reference, it takes 21,389 summoner experience to reach level 30. With Bot Games only giving around 90 experience a game and taking up to 20 minutes, that would take almost 150 hours of continuous playtime – without breaks or queue times! If you’re planning on doing this epic task then hold your horses, there are much easier ways to get to level 30.

So What are the Fastest Ways to Level 30?

Boosting: If you have no time to spare but plenty of money, then hiring someone to boost your account could be a valid choice. However, be prepared to pay a lot of money for the service, as they often don’t come cheap. The other options down here are definitely a better choice.

Experience Boosts (Duration): Duration experience Boosts give you bonus exp for a set number of games, regardless of if you win or lose. The best value boost is for 7 days and costs 1020RP. Depending on how often you play, you might need several of these before you reach level 30. You should be able to reach level 30 within a month using these boosts.

Experience Boosts (Wins): These experience boosts give bonus exp every time you win a game – but will give you nothing if you lose. The best value boost is for 40 wins and costs 2240 RP. You’ll need at least 2 of these to reach level 30. They can also be combined with duration boosts for bigger exp gains.

Playing Normal Games: Normal PvP games give much better experience rates than bot games. However, you will likely win around 50% of your normal games on your way to level 30, whereas you will probably win closer to 100% of your bot games. Without boosts, it can take upwards of 250 normal games to reach the required experience for level 30 – that could be up to 250 hours of playtime! Definitely not quick if you aren’t using experience boosts.

Playing Bot Games: You will probably win close to 100% of the bot games you play, however, the experience they give is much lower than normal games. Plus, they’re a bit boring to play. On the plus side, experience boosts still work in bot games, which makes leveling a bit faster. Even with boosts though, you’re probably looking at close to 150 hours of playtime to reach level 30. Without boosts… well good luck – it’s going to be a long and boring ride!

Let’s Use Experience Boosts to Speed Things Up

Good choice! So let’s look at the quickest games (bot games) and combine them with experience boosts (both per win and duration boosts). How long would it take you then to reach level 30? Around 100 hours of playtime, or just over 4 continuous days. That’s not all though – we’ve had to buy boosts remember. We’ll need 2 duration boosts (we can’t really play 4 solid days on one 7 day boost!) and 2 win boosts (50 wins each).
