European Roster Changes

With the start of Season 4 so close, the famous “rosterpocalypse” has brought us tons of changes. With different magnitudes of adjustments, some teams not at all, others completely dissolved, I’m going to list all of the current European teams coming into S4.

 NRG

The two time Smite World champions, NRG is sticking together and looking for a third win. If it aint broke don’t fix it, right?

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Dimi
  • Jungle: Adapting
  • Mid: Yammyn
  • ADC: Emilitoo
  • Support: iRaffer

 Obey

Going toe to toe with NRG, Obey landed second in this years SWC. Removing their weakest player, but at the same time losing their strongest player puts Obey in an interesting position. Only time will tell whether they’re better off than before.

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Variety ⇒ ManiaKK
  • Jungle: CaptainTwig
  • Mid: PrettyPrime
  • ADC: Ataraxia
  • Support: PandaLike ⇒ EmilZy

The next few teams haven’t been active in the SPL since the Fall, but will be returning in Season 4.

 Orbit ⇒ Valence Squadron

Orbit hasn’t been in the SPL since November. They’ve also dropped from Smite eSports, leaving the team org-less. However, the core team has picked up a new Jungle and Support, and have retained Orbit’s spot in the SPL. They are looking like a strong roster; we’ll see how far they can make it in Season 4 under their new name.

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Xaliea
  • Jungle: QvoFred ⇒ Charryo
  • Mid: Lawbster
  • ADC: Funballer
  • Support: Trixtank ⇒ BigManTingz

 Stinky Cheese ⇒ Sanguine

Three out of five of Stinky Cheese’s roster were previously under Sanguine, but were dropped and entered into the Open Bracket. Now, getting under Sanguine again, they’ve lost their ADC but are moving into the Spring Split. Update: Since the time of this writing Sanguine has changed their roster with some members from other Open Bracket teams

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Nika ⇒ TheDarkDodo
  • Jungle: Gorgonzolla ⇒ MikeTheMagikarp
  • Mid: TheDarkDodo ⇒MrSt3fan
  • ADC: Murrdurr ⇒ Deathpanter
  • Support: WorstTurtle ⇒ Nika

 Dignitas

Dignitas dropped their team, and some of the members have created a new team, Novus Orsa. However, they didn’t make it through Open Bracket. Dignitas holds their spot in the SPL, but the roster is still unknown. Update: Dignitas has picked up the roster of Variety’s New Team

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Duck3y ⇒ Variety
  • Jungle: FrostiaK ⇒ QvoFred
  • Mid: ShadowNightmare ⇒ Zyrhoes
  • ADC: Suntouch ⇒ Arkkyl
  • Support: BigManTingz ⇒ TrixTank

Cringe Crew ⇒ New Game Plus

Cringe crew has completely dissolved, but their Relegations spot was left for the creation of a new team. Veterans from all over, there may be promise with this new roster.

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Zhyroes ⇒ N0Number
  • Jungle: Repikas ⇒ Repikas
  • Mid: Kero ⇒ Kero
  • ADC: ShaggyShenk ⇒ GameHunter
  • Support: EmilZy ⇒ Murrderr

 Cyclone

Cyclone is one of the few teams that hasn’t changed. With their spot in Relegations guaranteed, we’ll see if there has been any improvement for Season 4.

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Deathwalker
  • Jungle: Iceicebabby
  • Mid: Wify
  • ADC: VoteNBK
  • Support: KaLaS

 Elevate

So far there have been minimal changes with team Elevate. The only impact has been the Mid laner, WorldEdit, retiring. There has still been no announcement about replacements.

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: MoGoW
  • Jungle: Faeles
  • Mid: WorldEdit ⇒ BlizzardFX
  • ADC: Jermain
  • Support: Dardez

Next up, we’ll take a look at some teams who made their showcase during this year’s Open Bracket, and will be moving on into Relegations.

 Variety’s New Team

This team made up of all-stars has stormed through the Open Bracket and is looking very strong. Variety has filled the team with seasoned players, and it’s looking like they’ve got great potential for Season 4. Update: VNT has been picked up by Dignitas

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: Variety
  • Jungle: QvoFred
  • Mid: Zyrhoes
  • ADC: Arkkyl
  • Support: Trixtank

 Last Minute Monsters

Coming in at second place, Last Minute Monsters is mostly comprised of rookies, with the only member who has played in the SPL being HalfDevil back in Season 2. Since Open Bracket, their ADC was switched out, and their Mid laner removed, but has yet to be replaced. We’ll see how they hold up against the pros in Relegations, but making it this far is still impressive.

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: R3bound
  • Jungle: Hestrix
  • Mid: MrSt3fan ⇒ FaraKrik
  • ADC: Lace ⇒ Joshy
  • Support: HalfDevil

 Dutch Myrmidons ⇒ Deserted

The last EU qualifying team, Dutch Myrmidons had a little bit of trouble and lost their Jungle and Mid laner to Sanguine. Since then they’ve picked up new members and are moving into Relegations.

Season 4 Roster:

  • Solo: TheBigSB
  • Jungle: MikeTheMagikarp ⇒ Gorgonzolla
  • Mid: Deathpanter ⇒ Dirgius
  • ADC: Baas
  • Support: Hoek

These are all the teams that we expect to see in Season 4’s Relegations, but not all of them will be moving on to the Spring Split.
