The Spring Season is almost over. Smite Masters begins this Thursday, April 27th. Head on over to HiRez’s Twitch and catch all of the games!
The current seeding is as follows:
- Obey Alliance
- Team Eager
- Team Dignitas
- Luminosity
- Team Rival
- SoaR
- LatAm Representative – TBD
- NRG
- LG Dire Wolves
- Black Dragons
All of the matches will be single elimination, meaning that the losing team will be removed from the tournament.
Thursday:
Currently, the 7th seed will be determined by the first match, Isurus Gaming vs. Valorous Team. This will be a Best of 5 set, with the winner moving on.
Following the LatAm games, Placement matches will start. Game two will be NRG vs LG Direwolves, which will determine Placement 1. Then game two will be LatAm Winner vs Black Dragons, determining Placement 2. Both of these sets will be Best of 3.
And that concludes day one of Masters.
Friday:
Friday will be when the action picks up, marking the start of the quarterfinals. These games will be Best of 3, and we’ll have four sets total.
Set #1 will be Obey vs Placement 1. It’s still a mystery who the other team will be, but either way it will be an exciting match.
Set #2 will be LG vs Rival. Regardless of who you’re cheering for, this is a must see match. In one corner you have one of the best teams in North America, and in the other you’ve got a team who showed up at Gauntlet and left everyone stunned.
Set #3 will be Eager vs Placement 2. Again, Placement 2 is still pending, however, I think Eager heavily outmatches both possible teams. That being said, we’ve seen miraculous turnarounds before, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Set #4 will be Dignitas vs SoaR, as well as the final game of day two. Another exciting match-up, I expect both teams to give each other a hard time getting the win. Once these games are done the winners will take a break and return on Saturday.
Saturday:
Saturday starts the round of Semi-Finals, which are Best of 5 games. The best four teams will face off and only two will be moving on to finals.
Set #1 of Semi-Finals will be Quarterfinal Winner 1 vs Quarterfinal Winner 2.
Set #2 of Semi-Finals will be Quarterfinal Winner 3 vs Quarterfinal Winner 4.
It’s hard to know who the contestants will be, but the games are guaranteed to be top tier regardless.
Sunday:
Finally, Sunday will top everything off with the finals in a Best of 5 format. This will determine the winner of Masters as well, as that nice Prize Pool.
Finals will be Semi-Finals Winner 1 vs Semi-Finals Winner 2. This will be the most intense game, as well as the official end of the Spring Season.
All of these games will begin at 11:00am EST and can be watched at HiRez’s Twitch
