E3 2017 – tl;dRundown

Hello everyone and welcome to the first ever Game Corner tl;dRundown. The segment where we cut the long articles and give you rapid takes on all things gaming at breakneck ADHD speed. Today’s topic: Game Corners Trip to E3. Ready Ok? Lets get the bad out of the way first. These presentations were too safe! Xbox? Add an X. Add 50 not so exclusives. Add games from the early 2000s to tell you why to buy the most high tech and pricey hardware on the market? Add it all up and what do you get? Bad. PlayStation. I sat in a theater next to E3. That was cool. Games at lightspeed! Uncharted: Two Girls, no sound. ZOMBIE BEAR. Happy Fathers Day. Not as cool as the first trailer. MILES MORALES and Shadow of the Colossus 2.9 HD Remix. Games like you have seen before! Oh and the biggest indie game ever coming to console but we’ll just leave that out of the big presentation. Nintendo! You wanna win E3? No? Well take us home anyway. We get this game in 4 days. Does Nintendo is cool? I’m realllly feeling it. The true anniversary game not in time for Kirbys real Anniversary. Super Paper Yoshi’s Story 2, Give us your money! Mario and the parasitic hat and the two newest instalments in the “if we tell you theres a Switch game, will you buy our 3DS games” series. Logo: the video game and saying the word Pokémon. Bonus: third party rundown. EA said look Star Wars and then showed us Attack on Horizon. Bethesda reminded us all what good pageantry and presentation was while also finding another was to milk Skyrim. Oh and Wolfenstein was cool. Ubisoft made fans say “ok I’m listening” and told everyone else “this is how you close a show”. On to the show! 68,000 people attended and lines were very long. While I couldn’t play Ubisofts games, I could tell South Park and Far Cry 5 looked like a lot of fun and a solid next step from their previous games. Pokken felt great and I’m excited to see where the fighting scene goes. Mario Odyssey is the return to 64 and Sunshine we all wanted while adding in the adventure elements of stumbling upon Moon’s similar to Breath of the Wild’s shrines, and Fire Emblem Warrios had HORSE FLIPS. I really sucked at Star Wars Battlefront 2, but the game appears to have a lot more depth than its predecessor. Marvel vs Capcom’s story mode is everything I hoped for and the gameplay was fun too. Sonic Mania looks as promising as ever and Sonic Forces genuinely surprised me as being incredibly fun and fluid with the custom character segments a challenging mix of Modern and Classic Sonic. and my game of E3 had to be Dragon Ball Fighterz. I have never watched Dragon Ball, know few names other than Goku and have never played a Guilty Gear game but Dragon Ball FighterZ was just. pure. fun. The gameplay was fast, the artwork was incredible and overall it made me more interested in fighting games like Guilty Gear and even in possibly watching a few episodes of Dragon Ball. Nintendo had New Donk City and game dev final bosses. Sony had Spidey. And I took a stealthy blurry shot of Hideo Kojima. It was loud, it was crazy, it was a gaming wonderland of E3 and that was the first Game Corner tl;dRundown. Be sure to check us out at The Game Corner your corner for all things gaming. Until next time, have a good one. *see I went the whole time and didn’t say anything about no Smash Switch*
