Blizzard announced in a tweet earlier today that their team-based online multiplayer shooter Overwatch reached over 30 million Registered Players. The game has come a long way since its launch in May last year. Who would have known that Overwatch could have accomplished such a feat, less than a year after its launch.

What’s next?
According to a forum post by Game Director Jeff Kaplan, there are 3 maps currently in development. These maps have passed the initial playtesting phase, so it’s highly likely the maps will be released this year. There are also 3 non-standard maps in development that won’t go be in Quick Play or Competitive modes. Jeff Kaplan has also teased that along with those maps there are a couple of experiments they are working on.
I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to every single one of those maps!
