Suzanne Lairmore and daughter, Rachel of Mobile visited their aunt, Tena Clark in Pasadena, Calif. during the week of spring break. During their vacation they attended the set of American Idol with backstage passes on Wednesday, April 12. They met fellow Alabamian and American Idol Finalist contestant Taylor Hicks of Birmingham and Rachel had her picture made with him (top). The Lairmores met other contestants, Ace Young, Katharine McPhee, Paris Bennett and Chris Daughtry and judges, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell. Ms. Clark is CEO and owner of DMI and is a personal friend of Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, also a judge. The show is now down to six contestants left with a winner yet to be named. Ace Young was the last voted off and Taylor Hicks has a strong showing. Suzanne and Rachel are the daughter and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hamilton of Grove Hill. Rachel, 11, is a student at UMS Wright in Mobile.
