Peter Matthew Bauer (formerly of The Walkmen) has announced he’s – finally – releasing a follow-up album to his 2014 Liberation! album. The new album will be called Mount Qaf (Divine Love) and you can listen to its first single – Khidr (American Drifter Music) – here:

Liberation! caught us off-guard and ended up being one of our favourite albums of the 2010s, being the perfect kind of music to listen to when you’re in a wandering type of mood, because of how well it fuses rock elements with lyrics on spirituality and philosophy. As much as we like Walkmen lead vocalist Hamilton Leithauser’s solo albums (ok, maybe not the first one as much), we would have to give Bauer our – completely fictional – award for best solo album made by a member of The Walkmen.

The release date for Mount Qaf (Divine Love) is the November 10th, via Fortune Tellers Music/Kobalt.
