Álvaro Morata was born in Madrid on 23 October 1992 and in 2008, exactly at the age of 15, he signed for Real Madrid from the neighboring club, Getafe CF. After two years of finishing his formation he started appearing in Real Madrid FC, although still as a junior. In July 2010, he was moved to the Real Madrid Castilla where he was able to achieve two youth titles and scored 34 goals.

He gave his career professional roots from Real Madrid when in 2010 he made his debut with the senior team. Later in the month of his promotion, team coach Jose Mourinho took him along with four teammates for the preseason tour in United States.
