The Sopranos is making an official return with a prequel movie set in the 1960’s.
Deadline recently confirmed that The Sopranos creator David Chase is set to bring the franchise back to our screens in the form of a prequel movie.
The movie is currently in development under the working title: The Many Saints of Newark. Both Chase and Lawrence Konner worked on the script together. Konner has previous work on the Sopranos.
We also know that David Chase will act as director and producer for the movie.

In a statement by Warner Bros Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich, he shared his excitement in bringing The Sopranos back. “David is a masterful storyteller and we, along with our colleagues at HBO, are thrilled that he has decided to revisit, and enlarge, the Soprano universe in a feature film,”
